Step up to the Majors with Pitch Hit & Run!

Major League Baseball® Pitch Hit & Run is a free event that provides boys and girls -- ages 7 to 12 -- an opportunity to showcase their baseball  skills while earning a chance to attend and perform during the MLB® World Series!

Athletes are tested, and their measurements are recorded. Based on their scores, they advance from a local event to a Team Championship held in MLB stadiums. Top scores then qualify for an all-expenses-paid trip for two to compete at the National Finals, which is hosted at the World Series.   This year we will have a Softball and Baseball Competition.

Each year on Opening Day, Hattiesburg Dixie Youth hosts a Fish Fundraiser at the park. We ask all teams to pre-sell Fish Dinners for $15 per plate. This will include fish, hushpuppies, cole slaw, french fries and tea. We are asking the Team Moms to head up this endeavor. Cuevas Fish will be set up between Fields 3 & 4 on Opening Day by the batting cages from 11am - 1:30pm.  Our goal is for every team to sell at least 30 fish dinners. Team Moms will need to encourage all players to pre-sell to their friends, family and neighbors.  Once you have your totals, Team Moms will turn in money on Tuesday,  April 2nd , 2024 from 5:30pm-8:00pm in the press box. You will receive your tickets at that time. Thanks for your help in supporting Hattiesburg Dixie Youth Baseball!
